Bankia launches Financial Education portal to help citizens make more informed decisions

02 October 2017

Category: Corporate

  • Designed to help both customers and non-customers of the bank gain a better understanding of financial products and terminology
  • Content structured in seven categories: Investing, Saving, Borrowing, Payment methods, Insurance, Accounts and General

Bankia has launched a financial education portal to help customers and non-customers of the bank to gain a better understanding of financial products and terminology and help them make more informed decisions.

This service, which is one of a raft of others on offer such as Bankia Blog or the courses being run for at-risk groups, has been launched as part of the Financial Education Day on 2 October.

The portal provides a series of multimedia training materials on financial habits and products, including videos and infographics to help users understand the financial world with which consumers interact daily.

This tool helps them differentiate between a credit and debit card or between APR and EAR, for instance, or learn how to prepare a household budget to save for a rainy day.  Content is structured in seven categories: Investing, Saving, Borrowing, Payment methods, Insurance, Accounts and General.

The portal will service as a repository, while these training materials will also be automatically distributed across the Bankia.es ecosystem based on the searches performed by users, making it easier for them to access specific content depending on the products and services they are interested in.
